A “church within a church.” That is how some have described the Great Adventure Weekend Group. Made up of adults ranging in age from mid 20’s to their 80’s, it is truly a diverse group of people. The group got it’s name from a popular song from Steven Curtis Chapman which describes the Christian life as the greatest adventure man has ever known.
The Great Adventure is a large group which strives to welcome visitors and minister to one another through fellowship and study. Service projects and the support of several local ministries has been at the core of the group since it’s inception in 2000. Joe Donaldson is the primary teacher, though several class members teach on occasion.
This group meets in the middle of the lower Fellowship Hall at Southeast Christian Church on Sunday mornings at 9:30. No registration is required and visitors are always welcome.
